Fun fact: This video was recorded in my hometown. And it’s probably the second most Canadian song ever, only beaten by another Hip song, which is literally about the Summit Series of hockey games between Canada and the USSR. Canadian as hell.
And, to make it even more Canadian, it was featured in an episode of Corner Gas. Because, you know, Canada and shit.

Couldn’t score tickets to their final show, so to make up for it I’m hosting a big ‘ol bonfire, where we’ll burn skids like true Canadians, while watching their final show in Kingston on the big screen in the backyard. I will cry.

Can’t be much more Canadian than Stompin Tom

I don’t know anyone who managed to get tickets for any of their last tour, and I’d run out of fingers if not also toes counting people I know sitting at muliple devices trying to get something the instant tickets were released. Probably the fastest sellout of anything in Canada.

We had five of us trying to get tickets, and literally seconds after going on sale there was nothing available. Regardless though, I’m okay with listening to their last show while standing beside a raging bonfire. I mean, what’s more Canadian than that?
